A graduate of the University of Milan, she became a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Dermatology in 2006 and earned her PhD in 2014. She is a past president of SIDEV, an active speaker at national and international meetings, and author of numerous publications in veterinary dermatology. Rachel Yau is the Lead Anaesthesia Supervisor at CityU Veterinary Medical Centre. She graduated from CityU SCOPE with an Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing in 2021. She joined CityU Veterinary Medical Centre immediately after graduation and has since gained four years of practical experience in both the wards and the anaesthesia department, where she currently serves as the Anaesthesia Veterinary Nurse Supervisor. Rachel is a RECOVER Certified Rescuer (BLS & ALS), and has a strong interest in anaesthesia and analgesia. She recently completed the Advanced Anaesthesia and Analgesia for Veterinary Nurses online course offered by the Royal Veterinary College. Rachel is dedicated to continual learning and actively seeks to enhance patient care through evidence-based practices and ongoing education.
